Phillip has put a lot of time and effort into figuring out what period and type of moving averages to use and the best settings to set up the MACD indicator with. I believe the word dedication, time, and effort was mentioned somewhere earlier and as you read through the method rules and principles you will fiind out why. All of the charts you will find here are from the Metatrader Forex Trading Software and all the indicators that are needed to use with the method are included with the software.

Notes on Market Rhythm 4 Hour Strategy:

Server times for differnet Forex brokers may be different. Some brokers server times are set directly to GMT, GMT +1, GMT +2, etc. What does that mean for you? Basically, nothing. But, all charts you see posted on this site are from server times that are GMT +2. If your broker has a server time that is GMT +1, then your chart and MACD indicator will not look exactly like the charts posted here. What that means is that you may see a MACD signal developing before or after what you see based on a server time other than GMT +2. This makes absolutely no difference in the tradeability of the method. In the long run it all evens out as far as the different server times are concerned and the number of signals (entries/exits) that occur.

There is a special version of the MACD indicator that changes color, from green to red or red to green, when the MACD histogram value decreases or increases. This may make the MACD patterns a little easier to see. The author of the indicator, 'irusoh', has done a great job customizing it. Most Forex brokers that use Metatrader as their trading platform offer demo trading for a specified length of time. If you are new to trading the Forex markets please do your research and select a broker that suits your needs. There is a lot of information on Forex brokers at the Forex Factory also.
